FAQ:

Q: Who is High Point Home Health?
A: High Point Home Health was founded in October 2001 in the dining room of our administrator, Ami Harshfield, and has grown quickly into our new location at 180 Reynolds in Bellefontaine. We provide services to Logan and all surrounding counties. We are family-owned and locally operated and take pride in getting to know our clients so that we can provide only the best possible services.

Q: What services do you offer?
A: We offer personal care aides and skilled nursing 24 hours per day 7 days per week. We also provide homemaking services 5 days per week. Our caregivers can assist with personal care, bathing, and hygiene needs as well as give medication reminders, prepare meals, clean, do laundry, and assist with errands.

Q: Does Medicare cover the cost for services?
A: If you have had a recent hospital stay or nursing home stay and you require nursing and/or physical or occupational therapy, Medicare will absolutely cover the cost for services.

Q: How do I know I can trust my caregiver?
A: All of our caregivers are carefully screened and undergo a criminal background check. You will only accept a caregiver that you are completely comfortable with. In addition, each caregiver is bonded, insured, and covered under worker’s compensation insurance.

Q: Are the caregivers chosen not only on qualifications but also on character?
A: Yes. All of our caregivers go through a lengthy screening process and are only hired if all standards are met.

Q: Does the corporate office contact the family periodically?
A: Yes. Our office staff feels it is very important to make sure that our clients are 100% satisfied with the care they are receiving. Because of this, we feel it is important not only to send a registered nurse for the supervision of the aide, but also to call the client.

Q: Is there a way to telephone someone 24 hours a day 7 days per week?A: Yes. We provide 24-hour on-call services for all of our clients and staff members. We encourage our clients and their families to contact us anytime needed.

Q: Is the same caregiver scheduled every day for me or my loved one?A: Our schedulers make every effort to have the same caregiver provide all of your care. We believe this is very important not only for continuity of care, but for trust and comfort for our clients.
